Usana.com provides a line of natural care products it says are designed to help people feel and look better. The network marketing company offers business opportunities to independent distributors. Chairman and CEO Myron Wentz earned a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of Utah. He has years of experience on those fields.

Usana advertises its nutritional products to be of high quality, safe, effective, and free of contaminants, and have a team of trained scientists to help the products remain so. The company markets quite a number of items, such as essential vitamins with balanced formulas. It has a line of health foods called Macro-Optimizers which contains ingredients beneficial to the body. it also manufactures toothpaste, and a line of bath and beauty products. The company tries to meet individual consumer needs with its nutrition products.

The company is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since it is a networking business, the products are not available through retail outlets. They must be purchased through one of the independent distributors.

The business has grown quickly, although it has faltered somewhat in recent years. Some people have begun to question some of the business practices, and allege that the quality of the company?s products may be no better than lower-priced products. A class action lawsuit was filed against Usana by some of its own distributors alleging that materially false and misleading statements were made about the company?s business practices and financial status. Other negative allegations against the company claim that certain company executives gave false statements on their resumes as to their qualifications and/or training.

On the other hand, there are still plenty of active Usana distributors who believe in both Usana and its products.
